The IWC Ingenieur Automatic 40 IW328902 model is a contemporary interpretation of one of the most distinctive designs in watchmaking history. While the IW328902 variant itself is modern, its DNA traces back to the 1970s, when IWC entrusted the redesign of the Ingenieur line to the legendary designer Gérald Genta.

It was Genta who gave this model its distinctive, technical aesthetic – an integrated bracelet, an industrial bezel with visible screws, and a characteristic dial structure. Today’s IW328902 consciously references his iconic Ingenieur SL design from 1976, retaining its proportions and styling, but complementing them with modern ergonomics and mechanics.
